Cushion Refill or Full Set? Check What You Are Actually Buying

A cushion refill and a cushion-and-refill set can carry almost the same product name while giving you different things. Before ordering, record the exact range, version, shade, number of filled units, grams per unit and whether the outer case is included. Then confirm that the refill fits the case you intend to use.

This guide uses two official LANEIGE Singapore NEO Cushion Mewy listings checked on October 14, 2026. It is a product-listing explainer, not a product test or a report of a verified social trend. The examples do not establish US availability, US prices or delivery to your address.

Read the contents before comparing the price

The official Singapore refill listing specifies one 15 g refill. The paired set listing identifies 15 g × 2 and a cushion plus refill. In the second example, the listed product quantity is 30 g across two units; it is not one 30 g insert. These are listing facts, not a promise about how long either option will last. The table deliberately leaves the shade blank: a page can offer several options, and its default selection is not your chosen shade. Product pictures are also a poor substitute for a contents list. If a listing does not resolve whether a case, puff or spare is included, leave that item “unconfirmed” and ask the seller before paying.

Use a six-field match card

Copy this card for each candidate, with its URL and checking date above it. Keep seller region beside the URL so a regional listing cannot silently become evidence for another market.

  1. Range: copy the full name, including words after the family name.
  2. Version: record a generation or revision if the listing identifies one. If it does not, write “not specified.”
  3. Shade: copy the selected code and name together. Do not infer a match from a similar swatch.
  4. Filled units: count the units containing product, separately from empty cases or accessories.
  5. Grams per unit: record each unit's amount, then calculate the total separately.
  6. Outer case: mark included, not included, or unconfirmed. Add the exact compatibility statement and the case you own.

The refill page describes compatibility with a NEO cushion case. That broad wording is not enough for this guide to guarantee every regional or historical NEO combination. If your case's exact version is unclear, send the seller the product name or model information and request a specific match. Similar size, color or branding alone does not establish fit. Three decisions the card can resolve

These are fictional shopping situations, not customer reports or our own product-use experience.

You own a case but cannot identify its version. A refill is a possible purchase, not a confirmed match. Find your original order details or the case's product identification. If the seller cannot confirm compatibility, stop before ordering. A lower displayed price does not answer the fit question.

You want your first complete compact. Look for an explicitly included outer case rather than selecting a refill solely because the range name is familiar. Check how many filled units come with that case. A set with a spare can contain more product than you need, so compare the package against your intended purchase rather than assuming a larger set is automatically better.

Two listings use the same shade name but different range wording. Keep them as separate candidates. Confirm the exact product and selected shade on each. This guide does not establish that formulas, shades or cases are interchangeable across ranges.

Compare like-for-like costs only after the match

When you have verified prices in the same currency and comparable selling conditions, divide each package price by its total listed grams. Keep shipping and other charges separate until you know the payable total. Also write down whether the price includes a new case. A cost-per-gram comparison describes the listed amount; it does not measure coverage, performance, quality or value to your skin.

For a package containing two 15 g units, the quantity denominator is 30 g. For a single 15 g refill, it is 15 g. Those calculations cannot tell you whether the second unit is useful to you or whether a refill fits your case. No live price comparison is supplied here, and Singapore listings should not be converted into a claim about US retail prices.

Keep the final order check short

Before checkout, compare the cart's selected range, shade, quantity and contents with your match card. Recheck the exact listing if an option change changes the title or price. Save your own purchase details after ordering so identifying a future refill does not depend on memory.

Try this quick check: a listing says “15 g × 2,” while a second says “15 g refill.” Can you conclude that the first contains a single larger insert, that both fit every case from the brand, or that the second includes an outer case? No to all three. The first gives a total of 30 g in two listed units; the remaining claims need their own explicit evidence.
